Where were you on October, 26th, 2000? If you were a die hard fan of the original Sony Playstation then you may have been anxiously waiting in line to get your hands on this bad boy.
The PS2 was a beast in its hey day. Beating the crap out of your buddies never looked so good, and role playing games were taken to a whole other level. The massive amounts of awesome inside this thing made all of us geeky kids drool.

So it is with a heavy heart that we sadly put the PS2 to rest. Sony has officially stopped shipping the console; the last remaining inventory is being sold until it's gone for good.
With the slow (and I mean very slow) addition of PS2 titles trickling into the Playstation Network, you may not be able to satisfy your hunger for classics like Kingdom Hearts 2 any time soon on your PS3. Your best bet is to run your ass to your local geek haven before it's too late (yeah yeah Ebay, Craigslist, shut up). Your other option is of course to be an emulation deviant, but that is just not the same. Technology progress be damned. I want my PS2.
